Stäger Wines

A family owned and run wine estate in Maienfeld.

In the middle of the Grisons rule in Maienfeld, the winery “Stäger Weine” is run by Markus and Karin Stäger. The family also includes two daughters Stefanie and Selina. The great love of wine, nature and vine shapes characterize the actions and thinking of the family. Currently, four hectares of vineyards are cultivated in Maienfeld.

The fourteen plots, some of which are surrounded by stone walls, are located at 520 to 600 m above sea level. The oldest vines are over 50 years old. The range of cultivated varieties is very diverse. They say that the wines are works of art; they are a symbiosis of climate, soil and the personality of the family behind them. Therefore, both the vineyards and the wines are carefully processed.
